Artwork and your manufacturer
Most franchise agreements govern what you can put on signage carrying the manufacturer’s marks. A blimp is signage, so the same rules apply.
The practical answer is that dealers usually put their **own** dealership name on the blimp rather than the manufacturer’s logo. That sidesteps the approval process entirely and works better anyway, because the passing driver already knows what a Ford looks like. What they do not know is which dealer they are passing.

Why height matters on a dealer lot
A dealership already has the most visible frontage on the road: rows of cars, a glass showroom, and a manufacturer pylon sign.
What it usually does not have is anything readable from the **next** road over, or from the highway that runs behind the lot. A blimp at 120 feet clears the pylon, the rooflines and the trees, and pulls from traffic that never passes your frontage at all.
That is the argument for a dealership specifically. You are not adding visibility to your own lot. You are borrowing traffic from roads you do not sit on.
Sales events
The blimp goes up for the event and comes down after. Setup is about ten minutes and one person after the first time.
That matters because a tent sale runs three days and nobody has spare labour on day one. If putting it up were a forty minute two-person job it would not happen.
It deflates, folds and stores flat in the box it shipped in, so the same blimp comes out for the next event and the one after that. Customers report still flying the same balloon after fourteen years.
